Recognizing the value of parent support in youth pursuing their space dreams\, Anastacia's desire to empower parents to get involved has sparked a global initiative. Hear Anastacia's story and then join our parent-child panel moderated by Emmy winning journalist Lori Lizarraga. Let's use what we discover to promote space for the next generation. \nJoin us as students\, parents\, aerospace and health care representatives weigh in on our mission to introduce students to space as a real possibility! \n"The barriers that have been used to keep nurses out of the space program are the same barriers that are used to discourage youth from seeing themselves as an integral part of space reality – especially those in marginalized communities. CCBN Space Talks aims to change that!" \nThe sixth CCBN Space Talks session brings it all home in preparation of a safe landing at the September CCBN Space Expo\, finalizing the mission to promote space for the next generation on Tuesday\, August 31\, 2021 from 5pm – 6:30pm MT. Aerospace Engineer and Educator Valerie Brown Gill was told by her third grade teacher that she would amount to nothing because she read slow; however\, thanks to her tenacity\, a strong parent support system\, and the advantage of being a slow reader\, Valerie was able to graduate from a 5 year engineering program in 3.5 years and went on to pursue her space dreams as an officer in the US Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base\, during the time of and at the location of the historic Enterprise landings. Hear her story and think tank with other passionate educators to further the conversation about the influence on educators in fostering the ingenuity and talents of their students. Curious about what to expect as you enter the nursing profession? Just have concerns in general? Then this symposium is for you!  The Eastern Colorado Council Black Nurses Inc. will offer its New Graduate Symposium on Saturday June 15\, 2019\, from 10:00 am to 2:00pm at the Saint Joseph Hospital’s Sterne Elder Conference Room of the Russell Pavilion.  Colorado State Board of Nursing attorney\, Assistant Attorney General Colleen Morey\, will be this year’s guest speaker. We are excited to offer this free and public opportunity for new graduates pursuing the nursing profession\, whether a newly graduated CNA\, LPN\, ADN\, or BSN\, as well as soon to graduate nursing students to gain access to information about legal guidelines and how those guidelines impact their scope of practice. Employee rights within those practice guidelines will also be addressed. Take advantage of this opportunity to obtain information direct from the Attorney General's office and connect with nurses from all levels of the nursing profession.
