New Grad Symposium 2021

COMPASSION FATIGUE, BURNOUT, NURSE BULLYING, COPING SKILLS. Learn about various ways the mental health of those who give health care can be impacted and learn strategies to combat them at the New Grad Symposium 2021 NGS).

Take the opportunity to learn first-hand from NGS speakers Dr. Laura Excell DNP, FNP, RN, who will address "Structural Racism and Its Effects on Physical and Mental Health," and Michael Wilkins MSW, LCSW, who will educate on "Paravagal Therapy." Then get those burning questions answered by our panel of nurse and other health profession experts: Anastacia Cox LPN, Dr. Anthony Young PsyD, Jacquelyn Stanton MSW, LCSW, Janaye Culton MA, CNA, NS, Laura Howard CMSRN, BSN, RN, and Dr. Margie Cook PhD, FNP, RN.

The New Grad Symposium is an annual event for those graduating from nursing or nurse pathway programs from technical schools to graduate programs, and is offered without charge to participants thanks to the members of the Colorado Council of Black Nurses Inc and event sponsors.
